Lowe Olsen
Introducing Lowe – a master of mixing old and new with effortless edge. Living just outside Borås with her boyfriend Dan and their son Dallas, Lowe has transformed her home into a place full of personality, warmth with unexpected combinations. She’s got an eye for details sharp enough to spot a treasure a mile away and a talent for making the unexpected work – like her beloved “penis” vase that’s as much a conversation starter as it is a centerpiece. With House of Bolon flooring adding sophistication underfoot, Lowe’s home is all about cozy, lived - in charm with a touch of playful style, where each piece tells a story and every guest feels right at home.
What made you fall in love with your 20’s house?
I didn’t fall for the house itself initially – but for the potential. It needed a lot of work, but I could see the transformation waiting to happen, and that vision won me over.
What feeling are you aiming for in your home?
I want my home to feel warm, personal, and comfortably lived-in, mixing old and new. I want guests to feel they can truly relax here, like they can “get down and get dirty,” just like we do.
"Bolon flooring is incredibly dance-friendly, looks fantastic, and has a certain stylish flair. It brings a touch of chic practicality to our space – it’s sexy!"
Tell us about your passion for second-hand and vintage finds.
Probably 80–90% of my furniture is second-hand or thrifted. After our big renovation, with everything new, it was important for me to bring in pieces with character and history to
balance things out.
Your best and worst finds?
My best find? My unique “penis face” vase – it’s amazing! As for the worst, that would be when you think you’ve scored an antique, only to realize it’s a recently-made knockoff.
A dream piece you’re looking for?
I’m always on the lookout for something with a touch of Danish design magic!
If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you’d leave?
Everything in my boyfriend’s gym - his bike, the heavy equipment. All of it can go!
What’s the one thing you’d like to be remembered for?
For raising someone amazing - hopefully a kind-hearted man.
What do you do when you’re all alone?
I indulge in cheese doodles for dinner and binge-watch RuPaul’s Drag Race. Total relaxation!
