This Year’s Collaboration for Svenskt Tenn’s Glass Course

House of Bolon x Beckmans College of Design

This Friday, October 18th, our showroom on Sibyllegatan 7 hosted a creative collaboration between House of Bolon and Beckmans College of Design, where second-year students from the product design program showcased their glass designs for Svenskt Tenn. This year’s project, part of the course "The Assignment," challenged the students to create a product or series of products based on the theme "The Set Table." Each student designed their own molds and spent 45 minutes in the Gustavsberg workshop with a glassblower to develop a prototype for the exhibition.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Svenskt Tenn scholarship, which was awarded to Linnea Danielsson for her playful egg cups 'Öff'. The jury’s motivation was: "This year’s laureate is Linnea and her egg cups ‘Öff’. A fun collection of different egg cups that attracted us. Good luck Linnea, looking forward to seeing the results of your continued work with @sthlm_glas."

The vernissage was celebrated with a party from 5 to 8 PM, and the exhibition was open to the public on Saturday. A big thank you to Beckmans College of Design, Svenskt Tenn, and all the students in the product design class for trusting us to support young creators. We love being a part of their journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
